Launch

Today is the big day when I launch phase one of The Plan with the purchase of my new car.  My first SSRB deposit came in as scheduled at midnight.  I know because I got up to check to see if it was there.  It was a moment of profound joy that all my planning was actually becoming a reality.  I have the delivery of my car set up for 11AM this morning after I get off of work at 10.  It has been a long time coming, yet I believe it will be worth the wait,  Four years ago when I was hospitalized with my stroke, the event which initiated my descent into financial hell, I never imagined actually getting to receive my SSRB that I have been paying into the last 40 years.  I am almost overwhelmed  with a lot of emotions at this very moment.  Mostly though, I am quietly overjoyed and eagerly anticipating this new beginning.  Six months ago, if you would have told me that this day would actually come, I would not have believed you.  But it has and now we move steadily forward into a much brighter future than I had hopes ever to see.  I hope you are as happy as I am at this moment.
