"Midnight"
For all the Technical Difficulties of Wednesday, Thursday was a pretty good day. Business see,med a little slower than usual but we got a lot of cleaning and organizing done with the four people we had on duty. By the time the Business Consultant came by the store was as shiny as it could be on a very misty day. We did fight the loosing battle against footy prints all day but that too was to be expected with the weather conditions. Today all of you who live up north will hate all of us who live down south. It will be 74 degrees warm today in Fort Worth, we may pay for it over the weekend but who can argue with a 70 degree day in December? It is the last weekend before Christmas so business should be brisk with the calm and the crazy all milling about getting the last minute things done before the holiday next Thursday. I got off around 3 so I could come do my laundry. They close the laundry room at dark and I needed to get some things washed for work tomorrow. The only problem was I got home and discovered I had forgotten to get quarters so I had to go back to the store to get some so I could proceed. The laundry got done and I got started on today's post while chatting with Will on Skype and Messenger.
I got an email from Wayne Besen and Truth Wins Out about how pissed he is that Barack Obama chose Rick Warren of Saddleback Church who is famous for his anti Gay rants and pursuits for the invocation at his historic inauguration. If I was the President-elect I would stay clear of all those fanatics but being a politician he has to offer something to everyone sometime. I just would have chosen someone like Bishop Robinson to recognize the pivotal role GLBT persons played in his election rather than an olive branch to the fundie hate mongers. I am sure there will be more things that not everyone will like as with any politician. If this is the biggest gaffe of his administration then we will probably be alright in the end. But we will be watching as always.
