The Good, the Bad & the Beautiful

Yesterday had its good and bad points.  I did not get caught up on my feeds at all which was the bad point.  However, the good point is I did speak with an attorney who handles landlord/tenant disputes and was interested in my recent misadventures with my last landlord.  The attorney wanted to see my entire file of communications and photos between us and them.  I spent most of the rest of the day gathering files from my computer and Will's computer to forward to the attorney.  There is no way in Gmail to batch forward emails, therefore I had to print them all then scan them into PDF files that would be attached to a series of emails.  Gmail has a 25 MB limit on attachments and the attorney's server limits incoming emails to 20 MB so I had to break them down into portions that would fit under the limits.  I was successful except for the photo files.  I will have to either upload them to the attorney's computer via the memory card from my digital camera or files loaded onto my flash drive.  

One of the attorney's first questions was if and when I was notified or summoned to appear in the legal proceedings against me.  Of course I had no knowledge of the proceedings until I received the judgement letter two weeks ago.  The attorney said that without being served with a summons to appear, then any judgement rendered would be null and void because of the violation of due process.  Then he asked for all my files.  This could get very interesting before it is all over and done with, however, any outcome would have to be in my favor because of their inability to follow the legal requirements for a valid action against Will and I.  In other words, they tried to pull a fast one and thought I would just bend over and take whatever they wanted to shove up my butt.  Unfortunately for them, I am not about to go away quietly while paying them money I do not owe them.  Yes it could get very interesting indeed as they really have pissed off the wrong person this time.

No Word Yet

I have yet to hear anything further from Sandee @ Myan.  I really do hope she does not think I am just going to go gently into that good night and disappear.  She would have another think coming if she does.  I called the channel 4 guy, but he is out of the office until next week.  However the lady I spoke with on the phone, gave me some numbers to Legal Aid so that I could see about retaining an attorney.  Unfortunately, their lawyers are only there on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, so I will have to call them on Monday.  This is going to get interesting before it is all over.  It may take a little time, but they are not going to get me to go away cheaply, that's for sure. I will keep you posted on my progress as we go along.  Now for the good stuff!
