So Much To Talk About

I spent a lot of time on the Internet yesterday and found so much that should be of interest to you guys.  As a result I have a megaton of video content for you guys today in addition to the previously planned play list of Cello Suite Number 5 by Johann Sebastian Bach performed by Mischa Maisky.  One of the things I found was a documentary by a former Mormon missionary who is now a Gay Rugby Player by the name of Spencer Windes.  His journey is documented in the film "Straight Acting" of which there is a preview below with a link to the full length film.  The film runs about an hour so you will have to set aside some time to watch the whole thing, but it is definitely worth the viewing.  The International Gay Rodeo Association, the Gay Hockey League and the Gay Rugby League as well as the Bingham Cup  are all touched on in the film.

On Monday in this post, I posted a play list that included What's Going On by Jonah Mowry and the video response by Jonathon Grant.  I watched another video response to Jonah from Johnny Robinson over at Wicked Gay Blog and I have posted it below.  It is truly a beautiful video which has also gone viral on You Tube.  There is also a Yahoo! interview with Johnny that you can read here.  Johnny as it turns out is a pretty amazing person himself who is making his own mark in this world as he makes it better for everyone whose life he touches.

Then there was the new Gay Anthem For Equality by Actor Gavin Creel that I ran across on Towleroad  called "Noise" which I have posted below.  The video description pretty much says it all: "100% of proceeds go to help Broadway Impact (http://www.BroadwayImpact.com) educate, inspire, and connect communities all across the country with one common goal: EQUALITY NOW.

"Gay rights are human rights, and if we want things to change, we all need to take action. We can't stay frustrated, quiet and complacent. We have to be willing to make some noise. This song aims to get us all fired up: gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and anyone in between.  I'm ready to welcome in a new age of full legal protection in all matters governed by civil law in all 50 states for ALL citizens, and I believe we will get there. But the men and women who have the power to change the laws so that we are all represented and protected equally need to hear from us, NOW. This song calls out to people who believe in equality, regardless of sexual orientation or identity; people who are ready to take action, use their voices and be heard.  Until we have equal rights all across this great country, we will play it as long and as loud as we have to.  So, let's go....

Get the tune, turn it up, and let's make some NOISE! "- Gavin Creel, 2011"   You can down load the song from iTunes here to help out with the cause.

Then finally we get to Mischa and Bach.  Not forgetting of course the important photographic content posted after all the videos of all the hot, hunky men that are Naked or Nearly So to get your weekend off to a lascivious start.  Hope you guys have a fabulous weekend, be sure to stop by tomorrow for this week's review of the Best of the Web This Week.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!

Rainy Days and Mondays

It is still cold and rainy here in Fort Worth, but that does not mean my attitude is under the weather.  Matter of fact, I am actually in a great mood for some odd reason and I am willing to pass that along to you guys.  I have an exciting week of music all planned out for your listening pleasure.  When I went looking for music, I found a play list that included all six of the Solo Cello Suites by Johan Sebastian Bach comprising some 36 videos performed by Mischa Maisky from his DVD.  Now that is too many videos for one post.  However, I solved that little dilemma by breaking it up into six play lists with one suite in each.  That is one suite for each day I will publish this week.  If you have the time to listen to all six suites at once, you can find the play list here.  You can also find more music by Mischa Maisky at his web site.  So of course we will begin with the Suite for Solo Cello Number 1 today and progress through them all as the week goes forward.   In addition to the Cello Suite, I have another couple of videos in a play list that I thought you  should see.  I saw them posted over the weekend at Wicked Gay Blog to whom I subscribe in my Google Reader.  The first video is by Jonah Mowry who is reaching out for support as he enters his last year in middle school and the second is the video response by Jonathon Grant giving him some support and encouragement as he has been where Jonah is.  Jonathon wanted Jonah to know that he was there for him.  Therefore Jonah and Jonathon are posted first followed by Mischa Maisky and Bach.  Then to brighten everyone's  Monday I have a host of heavenly bodies clad in their Monday's Undies lounging about the page below the play lists.  It is supposed  to freeze overnight  tonight, so if you see a video clip of Paul Simon's Slip Sliding Away posted tomorrow you will know I skated home on icy roads, lol.  Thanks for stopping in to say hey, come again real soon.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
