From the Far Corners of the World

"Aquarium of the Bay"

I do not know how many of you check out the ClustrMap in the side bar which records my visitors here at Nichevo. It has been a constant source of interest for me to see the actual number of visitors I have but also where they come from. From December 1, 2008 to January 1, 2009 I recorded visits from people in 108 different countries as identified by each person's IP address. I was surprised at some of the locations where my little corner of the world shines its light. Places where the regimes in power are blatantly homophobic yet there are courageous GLBT persons who find their way to my little portal on the web. Places like Iran where I know there are homosexuals no matter what Ahmed-whozits says because at least one of them found my blog in December. Then there are the visitors from Nigeria where that cranky homophobic Bishop Akinola tries to suppress anything he does not like and China where the government is no friend to gays or anyone else for that matter. I have many readers also in Russia where we have all heard the stories of repression and harassment by the Putin government. There are even a couple of visitors from Sudan where life for everyone is miserable most of the time. It is gratifying to know that someone in these remote places takes the time to stop by my little corner of the world for a visit. Below is a complete listed of the countries and the number of visitors from each for the month of December 2008:

Looks my little corner of the world is a pretty big neighborhood, huh? I would never have imagined in the dark days that were November of 2006 that Nichevo would be where it is today. The friendships I have formed and the ripples that have affected my life and the lives of others are worth far more than anything I have invested into the production of these pages. Nichevo is and always has been a labor of love from which I have derived many ,many hours of pure pleasure. To have the end results to be so well received around the world and to have so many of you contact me in various ways to tell me you like what you find here is perhaps the greatest joy in my life. I guess this means you guys are going to have to put up with my ramblings for a little while longer. Thank you all for coming again and again to add spark to the life of yours truly.

For the new year I changed the man of the month of course as well as the overall color scheme bringing it out of the Christmas colors last week into a new, darker blue than it used to be. I also moved the player closer to the top of the page so Beethoven and Bach do not interfere with Will's Nickleback or whatever other rockish music is playing on his end. I have also added a new product to the advertisements in the side bar. I recently rewarded myself with a little self indulgence and purchased a FleshLight from the official FleshJack website. I must say that I enthusiastically endorse this product as it lives up to it's advertising statements and then some. If you click on the ad it will take you to the "Design Your Own" page where you can view all the options available. Who knew masturbation could be such fun? (LMAO) Of course your kindly old Uncle would make a small commission if you found something you liked at their website which is a plus for me. However, after your first session with your new acquisition, you tell me whether or not I was correct in endorsing this product so enthusiastically. I know it sure adds a whole new dimension to my "imaginary lover"! Now to give you some inspiration I have some marvelous Model Men for this Monday to get your week off ... er, on the right foot, as it were. Until next time as always, Enjoy!

Schedule, Sports And Stats

Key West Sunset

I know I am a little late getting this posted today but I just did not get this written or the photos selected until this morning instead of last night. Never fear though Uncle Gerry still has your man fix for the day as well as some Holly Oaks but no NUKE. I must tell you ahead of time that the last photo in this post is NSFW but it was just to perfect to mess with. The day has started real well with both supportive emails and phone calls being received this morning. I just love it when I am already in a good mood and then receive encouragement through the email or on the phone. Just makes my day that much better. I did work all night as I will tonight but I am off tomorrow which is cool as I don't have to double back at 4 PM like last week, that kinda wears on me a little bit. I actually get to work a day shift on Thursday with a short shift on Friday night and Saturday I finish up with a 2-10 before being off again on Sunday. We have some sports tournaments this week end so it should be busy around the hotel. About three miles from the hotel is Burns Park which is runs along the river and has this humongous sports complex for softball, basketball and soccer as well as the picnic and day camp facilities and pavilions. Most regional and state wide intramural leagues play their tournaments and championship games here in NLR at Burns Park so any time that happens we have jocks all over the place. Now having a bunch of sweaty jocks running around the hotel is not really such a bad thing, do you think? At least not from my point of view, it is great for business and easy on the eyes as well. It is a win all the way around. The nice part about my schedule this week is I get to miss drunken Karaoke (gee shucky darn!) unless I want to sit in there and watch it (NOT!). I know half the fun is making fun of your friends who can't carry a tune try to find the bucket with one when they have had a couple, but I think I will pass this week as I will probably have to work it next week.

I just checked my stats over at Clustr Maps and as of last night I have had 184,868 visitors to Nichevo. I did not reach 100,000 until late November or early December last year after celebrating my first blogiversary on November 3. At the pace you guys are stopping by that means we should hit 200,000 early in May. It is amazing to me how much my world has expanded thanks in large part to all you guys (and gals) that stop by on a regular basis just to see what Uncle has up his sleeve for today. I want all of you to know how much I appreciate each and every one of you for being a part of the journey that is Nichevo. I know my life is better because of this blog and I hope I add something to your lives when you stop by for a visit. I want to give a special shout out to Gal Pal, her bf S, The Lunch Lady, The Woodsmn, and especially The Gingerbread House for the kind words and inspiring thoughts which help make Nichevo what it is and can be. Now without further adieu you will find Holly Oaks posted next followed by today's eye candy selections. Those of you at work please remember the last photo is NSFW so as not to shock your coworkers. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
