This last Wednesday CNN's Paula Zahn did a story on Hip Hop artists and one of the artists interviewed was the Gay Rapper Deadlee. In a genre rife with artists ready to bash Gays just because they're Gay, Deadlee stands up for all of us. The artist has done much to promote Latino and Black musicians in the Hip Hop field as well as working with Gay youth organizations. Here is an artist who is to be admired for the courage of his convictions as well as his immense talent. Presented for you here is interview on CNN and his video, Good Soldier II, which was his debut video which is about the feelings and issues faced by gay youth. It has been a weird week for me full of ups, downs and turnarounds. Needless to say, one of the things not getting done this week was regular posts here at Nichevo. I apologize for this but time has not been on my side this week. There was lots in the news including this interview with Tim 'I Hate Gays' Hardaway by Scoop Jackson on ESPN's page 2. Hardaway tries to explain away his diarrhea of the mouth in the wake of his little hate speech and the loss of privileges and endorsements caused by his statement. Every one should get a second chance, but I am not sure if the man is sincere or just trying to cover his a**. Read for yourself and make up your own mind.
Meanwhile in Washington the Democrats are about to push a bill rescinding the authorization for George's war and the British are starting to pull out but not before they send Prince Harry over there to do his bit for Queen and Country. Too bad George can't see his way out of a paper bag much less be able to admit that this whole thing is a disaster and will only get worse as time goes by. Is it just me or does he seem to get dumber by the day? If we don't watch out we won't have an army left when we do need it. The next election cannot come too soon.
