A Little This, A Little That

They must have found the lid to the Looney Bin and locked it back down as there were no semi-psychotic strangers running around loose in the neighborhood last night.  All together a much less eventful evening and morning as Sean and I spiffed up the store with plenty of slack time to make the work day enjoyable for us both.  In addition the day shift actually arrived sorta on time and I was out of there by 10 after 6.  Getting to start my day off on time is always a plus in my book!   I made a terrific pot of beans with hamburger the other day, so I am kicked back enjoying them with some rice, corn bread and freshly made pico de gallo while pecking away at the keyboard.  MMM MMM good!   Equally good is some more concert videos for this morning's play list of the Cello Sonata by Edvard Grieg arranged for Viola and performed by Rivka Golani accompanied by Michael Hampton wonderfully recorded by Cineman8 with which to treat all our ears.  To enhance your visual appreciation of today's post, I have put together a comely number of especially Sexy Studs in Swimwear sure to summon the appropriate reactions from us all.  Now as far as my day off is concerned, I think I will make this a lazy day and do absolutely nothing that I don't necessarily have to do.  I will be making up a great batch of jambalaya with smoked sausage for dinner, but that is much later in the day.  For now, I think I will take a nice nap.  Thanks for coming to visit, come again tomorrow to see what's up for Hump Day.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!

Just Another Night On Crazy Avenue

The must have left the lid off the Looney Bin last night as all the inmates came to visit me last night at one time or another.  I had one guy rolling around on the ground begging for money and then bitching if they did not give him enough.  I had to run him off right quick.  I had a little grandmotherly looking woman in a nightie and house coat begging for "two dollars so I can get my baby something to eat" when all it looked like she wanted was another hit of crack, I ran her off too.  Then there was the scarey lady in the wheel chair who I have run off before.  She rolls up on people scaring them to death then begs for money.  She is harder to run off as she will wheel off the lot then as soon as I am not looking she is back out at the pumps begging again.  I have to run her off 3 or 4 times before she finally stays gone.  The strangest thing was a guy in a new Corvette worth about $90,000 trying to sell used clothing out of the back of it to "buy a little gas and a Whataburger".  I'm sorry,  but I have a real problem sympathizing with someone who drives a $90,000 car wanting to bum gas money off of me or my customers.  I mean really, if you can't afford the gas, sell the fucking car and buy something you can afford the gas in, sheesh!  Of course all this was happening as we were trying to get the store ready for the Corporate Big Wigs from Japan to visit this morning.  That is a whole 'nother story in and of itself that I really don't want to go into right at the moment.   At any rate, it was a crazy night on Crazy Avenue and it is not even a full moon, yet....

On to more pleasant things.  Cineman8 has once again provided us with some excellent videos for this morning's play list.  My selections are of Rivka Golani on Viola playing Marchenbilder (Fairy Tales), Opus 113 by Robert Schumann and Sonata in F Minor, Opus 120 by Johannes Brahms in concert accompanied by Michael Hampton on Piano.  Then I have your weekly helping of scrumptious hunks barely covered by their Monday's Undies to get the week started off on the right foot.  Thanks for the visit, stop by tomorrow to see what happens next, lol.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
