I'm Number One!

In the course of Will and my conversation on Skype with another friend, the subject of my blog and it's positioning in a Google search came up. Being the geeks that we are, we immediately Googled both Uncle Gerry and Nichevo. I am happy to say that I am the Number One answer to both queries! This is pretty amazing to me as I started this blog in November of 2006 as an unemployed man in a tiny apartment in Irving, Texas in an effort to expand my horizons and hopefully meet other people. To that end I would have to say I have succeeded beyond my wildest dreams, and my universe continues to expand on a daily basis. I now have friends around the world who tune in daily to see what I have to say and display. You, dear readers, have are the reason for that success for with out you there would be no Uncle Gerry and no Nichevo. In the course of my writings I have laid bare my soul and my passions, my likes and dislikes and constantly campaigned for people and or causes in which I personally believe. I have be supported, loved and respected by people the world over on a daily basis for nearly three years now. Many of you have taken the time to write me and/or call me to let me know of your appreciation of my work, submitted photos or suggestions for articles or given support for either emotional, spiritual or financial needs. For this I am truly grateful to you, my dear loyal readers, and will continue to strive to present to you the best content available to me. You all have become an integral part of my life and the joy I find therein. Nichevo above all else is a labor of love for me and a great source of pride and accomplishment. I am feeling a little weird...

"A Little Bit Blue"

...this morning, more like disoriented, I guess. I slept last night and now I am up and I don't have to go to work today. How strange is this? I had a good day yesterday. I had to go over to the health department for a permit for our new hot food program and while I was out I treated myself to lunch at Chili's where I had not been in a while. I also got my print cartridges refilled at Walgreen's. They have a good deal therewith black refills for $10 and color for $16. they had a problem with my black cartridge resulting in damage to the cartridge, so they gave me a new one for free and only charged me for the color refill. Sweet! New cartridges run about $70 for my printer so I was very happy to get resupplied for only $15. When I got back to the house I got on line with Will where I spent the rest of the evening until I fell asleeep on him. He had to wake me up to tell me to go to bed again, lol. So now I am back up and trying to put a plan of action together for the day. I think I will make a list and go shopping, I need to start getting supplies laid in for Will's impending arrival. It will also be good to have a few groceries around so I don't have to eat out so much. I get a little lazy in that regard when all I am feeding is me. I love to cook but cooking for one really sucks at times and leftovers can get to be a mystery if left in the fridge too long. I know I am kinda rambling, but I am talking with Will as I write this morning. This can cause multiple subject shifts like bullets ricocheting in a gunfight at red rocks in a matter of seconds. Like most of our conversations, we cover a lot of ground in many a roundabout way. So be fore I ramble into oblivion here we will get onwith the entertainment portion of this broadcast. I got the following video in my email from "Must see videos at Daily Motion" and it is a live performance by the band Keane at Largo in Los Angeles.
