Thank God It's Friday! I have been having some issues with the little pissy bitch petulant female child with whom I work on Thursdays. She has been recalcitrant and petulant for about a month now. Last Thursday, after an evening of scowling at me for the whole shift and finding anything and everything around the store to avoid having a conversation with me in addition to playing little petty mind games designed to piss me off annoy me. Towards the end of her shift she began telling me what I should be doing. I had finally had enough and told her that her little pissy bitch attitude had to stop. She got all indignant, went off on me and marched out in a huff about a quarter to nine (her shift ended at nine). Each week she has been finding some excuse to walk out at a quarter to nine without permission from the boss to do so.
Last Thursday, after marching out in a huff she called the boss man acting all sweetness and light and complaining that I had called her a little pissy bitch. This cause a meeting with the boss lady with each of us and last night was our joint meeting with the boss lady. The boss lady said I was wrong for calling her a name and she was wrong for marching out in a huff. She wanted us to apologize to each other. I apologized to her without a response in return. The boss lady asked if she had heard my apology to which she replied in the negative as she was trying to ignore my presence and not speaking to me once again. The boss lady then asked her if she had anything to say to which she replied "What do I have to apologize for?" In her mind she can do no wrong I suppose. Anyway, the boss lady said to give her some time and she would eventually get over herself. I said OK, but I was not about to take any guff from her either.
The whole first part of her shift she remained recalcitrant and petulant, doing the same thing she did last week. After about two hours of her sitting at the end of the counter talking on the phone and texting her friends between customers she grabs a soda and marches out side to continue talking and texting. I just thought 'fine, but I am going to go smoke a cigarette anyway'.
Remarkably enough, my new car brought about a defrosting of her attitude as she began to ask me about it. Then things began to be OK and we talked and like reasonable people and worked together to get the shift duties done. Then about a quarter to nine after having a conversation with her younger sister who was crying because her monthly visitor came and she did not have any tampons. So she buys some tampons then packs her stuff, says 'bye, Gerry' in preparation to walking out the door. I said to her "Where are you going, it's not 9 o'clock yet" which she ignored while walking out the door talking on the phone.
I had a store full of customers at the time, and had not yet closed out the second register like we always do heading into the third shift to reduce the temptation for possible ne'er do wells to attempt a robbery. This rightly pissed me off, so I will say something about it to the boss when I get there today.
However, today is a new day and I will be having a good day despite anyone's efforts to rain on my parade. Everything is beginning to turn around after the last few years of financial difficulty, so I am going to enjoy my new car and life in general despite the best efforts of little pissy bitches, or asshole ex-employers (another tale for another time). Now let's move on to the Music and the Men, shall we?
