Allies and Friends

We continue our celebration of Ally Week with video from our Allies and Friends starting with the new ad running in Minnesota from one of my favorite allies.  Minnesota Vikings Punter Chris Kluwe has recorded his thoughts on Marriage Equality in this ad urging his fellow Minnesotans to vote NO on the proposed constitutional amendment to ban Marriage Equality in Minnesota that is on the ballot in November.  Take a look and listen to one of our fiercest advocates:

Then we have this new video featuring LGBT celebrities on what our Ally, President Obama, means to them and why they are urging a vote for the President rather than against ourselves with a vote for serial liar Mitt Romney:

One of the reasons we value our Allies, like the President and Chris Kluwe, is because things like the recent suicide of 16 year old David Hernandez from East Hampton, NY caused by bullying for the perception that he was Gay.  We will never know if David was Gay because he is not here to tell us, but he killed himself because too many of the wrong people thought he was.  We need to let our Allies know we appreciate their support and extend that support to friends, classmates and others who are suffering from harassment and bullying, whether they are Gay or not.  Be a Friend, be an Ally, be the Change!

Just a note for those of you who frequent facebook pages, be sure to keep a watch on your privacy settings or something like this could happen to you, too, heaven forbid!  Then if the above video is not enough to fill you up, cruise on over to The Advocate for these Heartfelt Stories You Don't See Much of in Marriage Equality ads.

To add music to your day I have a great video of Violin Concerti Numbers 10, 11 and 23 from the Art of the Violin, Opus 3 by Italian Composer/Violin Virtuoso Pietro Locatelli.  Locatelli has quite the Baroque pedigree as he studied under Arcangelo Corelli, whose influence is seen in Locatelli's early compositions.  His later compositions show the heavy influence of Signori Baroque himself, Antonio Vivaldi.  Today's performance is by the Venice Baroque Orchestra conducted by Andrea Marcon featuring solo performances by Giuliano Carmignola

Finally for today, what post of mine would be complete without a little eye candy, huh?  I have quite the collection of handsome, hairy hunks and lithesome lads on display to provide you with your Tuesday's Temptations.  Thanks for the visit, see you tomorrow!  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
