The Heat Has Finally Gotten To Me

I finally got to talk with Tony yesterday when I paid the rent and stated my case about the unbearable heat in my apartment.  He had the head maintenance guy come out to investigate.  He changed the filter and checked out the A/C unit.  Turns out the unit is working properly, but is not large enough to compensate for the fact that it is over 100 degrees outside.  So unless I can talk Tony into replacing my current unit with a larger one (I will not hold my breath on that one), I am basically stuck and sweltering until the heat breaks towards the end of the month.  I will either melt completely away or go bankrupt trying to pay the energy bill in a vain attempt to cool the place down.  In any event, all this heat and lack of rest has finally made me physically ill.  Will says I am suffering heat exhaustion, and he may well be right.  All I know is I have a headache that won't go away, my stomach is queasy and I feel like I have been run over by a truck, then he backed up and did it again.  Not the best way to go into Friday night madness and truck night, but I guess one does what one must as I really cannot afford not to work.  Anyway, after I get this up I am going back to bed while it is cool enough to sleep to see if I can catch up on some rest and get to feeling better.
