Friday's Music and Men

Well we made it to Friday once again, are you ready for your weekend? Of course your weekend should definitely be more entertaining than mine, what with my working all weekend while you guys enjoy your down time. However, I shan't let the prospects of craziness, drunkenness and other forms of madness and mayhem deter me from at least trying to have a good time while at work. That being said, let's move on to something infinitely more interesting such as marvelous music and gorgeous guys, shall we? In today's play list, we explore the music of Italian Violinist and Composer, Francesco Maria Veracini including Sonatas, Overtures and a Concerto. We begin with his Violin Sonata in G Minor, Opus 1, Number 1, with a performance by Europa Galante featuring Fabio Biondi on Solo Violin, followed by his Sonata in D Minor performed by Musica Antiqua Roma featuring Riccardo Minasi on Violin, Giulia Nuti on Harpsichord, Luca Pianca on Archlute and Margret Koll on Triple Harp. Next is his Overture Suite Numbers 1 and 5 in B Flat Major, both pieces performed by Musica Antiqua Koln under the baton of Reinhard Goebel. Following the Overtures is Veracini's Sonata Accademica, Opus 5, Number 2, performed by Luigi Mangiocavallo on Violin, Claudio Ronco on Cello and Marco Mencaboni on Harpsichord. The finale is the Concerto for Violin, Strings and Basso Continuo in in A Major (RV 14) with a performance by L'Arte dell'Arco featuring Frederico Guglielmo as both Conductor and Solo Violin. To go along with all this beautiful musical art, I have a few photographs of magnficent art in the male form with another studly and sultry edition of Naked or Nearly So to get you in the proper weekend state of mind. Or maybe just make you horny, whatever works for you, he he! Thanks for the visit, have a fabulous weekend remembering to stop by for this week's photo review of the Best of the Web This Week in tomorrow's post. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
