Damn this week is almost over already as we rush headlong to the weekend. Today is payday and that means chores and errands as usual, so I have lots to keep me busy. I picked up an extra shift last night which will add to next week's check, however I am off tonight, so I will take advantage of that to rest up for Friday Night Madness and Truck Night all rolled into one. I have some excellent music for you today as we continue our composers whose last names begin with the letter 'S'. The playlist for today has two works by our featured composer, Symphony Number 1 in D Major (D82) and
Symphony Number 5 in B Flat Major (D485), by Franz Schubert. Symphony
Number 1 is performed by Sinfonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks
(Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra) conducted by Lorin Maazel in a live
concert recording from 2001 at the Prince Regent Theater in Munich. Symphony Number 5, which is Schubert's tribute to Mozart, in a performance by The Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and Chorus conducted by
Jonathan Nott. Tomorrow I have decided to go with Sibelius rather than Strauss, and then we will end the week with Shostakovitch. After the play list, I have a pretty hot lineup of magnificent Men In Jeans that will bring a rise in your Levi's. Now I have lists to make and things to do, so I will jet on off to get things done. Thanks for the visit, see you tomorrow. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
