There has been a lot of attention in the media lately about bullying and bashing. In fact just this morning another gay man was murdered in North Carolina in a fit of 'gay panic". However I would like to focus on the positive rather than the negative in this post so I will. In my reader today was a post by Craig, whom I have posted about in this post, about his being scheduled to speak to a group of teachers and faculty at his high school this Friday. He is asking for suggestions for what teachers can do to help LGBTQ students. If you have a suggestion or idea that could help Craig, stop by his blog post and leave it in the comments section. Thanks for taking time to do this, as Craig is seriously trying to improve things for gay youth and I think he is doing a marvelous job. I find hope in his efforts and as Harvey Milk said a long time ago, "you gotta give them hope". Craig does this for me and a world of gay and questioning youth that find their way to his "doorstep".
Today's eye candy features the work of Chicago photographer John Gress about whom I have posted before. I subscribe to his blog in my reader and he has his own folder for photographs in my "Pictures" library. He does a lot of sports photography and a lot of his models and photos reflect athletic pursuits and men of color, which I think you will like. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
