Election Day has finally arrived and it now time to put action to rhetoric by actually getting out to vote if you have not already done so. Here is an email I got from Barack:
Election Day is today -- Tuesday, November 4th.
We've asked you to do a lot over the course of this campaign, and you've always come through.
Right now, I'm asking you to do one last thing -- vote today, and make sure everyone you know votes, too.
Watch a short video about how far we've come, and how close we are. Then find or confirm your polling location and make sure your friends and family do the same:
When this campaign began, we weren't given much of a chance by the pollsters or the pundits.
But today, we can make history.
We've made it this far because supporters like you never stopped believing in your power to bring about real change.
Take the final step now.
Watch the video, find your polling location, and get everyone you know involved on Election Day:

With your vote, and the votes of your friends, family, and neighbors, we won't just win this election -- together, we will change this country and change the world.
Thank you,
Barack
Then I read this over at America Blog:
Sad news for the Obama family. His grandmother died today(11/3/08):
Here's a statement from Obama and his sister Maya Soetoro-Ng:This is what Obama said about his grandmother during his convention speech:
"It is with great sadness that we announce that our grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has died peacefully after a battle with cancer. She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility. She was the person who encouraged and allowed us to take chances. She was proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and left this world with the knowledge that her impact on all of us was meaningful and enduring. Our debt to her is beyond measure.
"Our family wants to thank all of those who sent flowers, cards, well-wishes, and prayers during this difficult time. It brought our grandmother and us great comfort. Our grandmother was a private woman, and we will respect her wish for a small private ceremony to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to any worthy organization in search of a cure for cancer."
And when I hear a woman talk about the difficulties of starting her own business, I think about my grandmother, who worked her way up from the secretarial pool to middle-management, despite years of being passed over for promotions because she was a woman. She's the one who taught me about hard work. She's the one who put off buying a new car or a new dress for herself so that I could have a better life. She poured everything she had into me. And although she can no longer travel, I know that she's watching tonight, and that tonight is her night as well.Send up a little prayer for them in this hour when everything is on the line. His Grandmother is watching to see what we will do. Step up, Step Out, Vote!!!
