Unjust Fate
Have any of you tried to watch the RNC? I tried to watch it last night at work and it just about bored me to tears between times of extreme rage at the BS being ladled into America's homes. Tonight I will probably watch to see this Governor Palin speak, not that I will believe much of what she says, and of course Rudy will be speaking tonight also. I hope I can make it through without either puking or falling asleep. On to more pleasant thoughts like it is only 138 more days until we get rid of the idiot in the White House. I would love to be in DC on Jan 20 just to see the look on his face when he has to hand the reigns over to Barack Obama and then listen to what should be a terrific inaugural address. But I don't travel in such lofty circles so I will probably watch it on TV like most of you.
We are getting lots of rain this week from the remnants of Gustav with some minor (so far) flooding in lower lieing areas and some wind damage . The wind blew the cover off the roof access point in the crawl space above my desk last night so I spent the night dodging raindrops while doing the audit. The seven day schedule is wearing on me a bit but there is light at the end of the tunnel as far as a day off is concerned. I recommended a buddy of mine, Scruffy, for a position behind the desk and the GM took me up on it. He is almost trained enought to run a shift on his own which on Sunday will give MM a day off which in turn might get me a day off as MM can do the audit also. In the mean time I will just continue on my daily routine that is anything but routine here of late, the only constant being the audit on a daily basis. My sleep pattern has changed a somewhat and my activities have increased, both at home and outside. There will not be much outside this week with all the rain so maybe I can catch up on things I need to look at and do here at home, around the blog, and around the net. I met some new friends who have asked me to look at their blogs or have asked how to do something in Blogger so I need to catch up on that (sorry my friends, I have been so busy!). I should also change the playlist as it has been a while, maybe tweak a thing or two here and there. Oh, yes, Picasa3Beta just came out and I have installed it to see what the new features will do. One of the new features is the "make a movie" option that will create video clips uploadable to You Tube from selections in the photo tray. Now I have some fine photos, I will have to make a few selections and experiment with that. I hope it is easier to work with than Windows Movie Maker, we shall see. If the experiment is successful, then maybe homegrown videos from your Uncle will appear on these pages for your edification. When the weather clears and I get some time off I want to take on some of the sight seeing I have been putting off so I can use my new Nikon and share my discoveries with you all. Between the movie making & still photo capabilities of the Nikon and the new Movie feature in Picasa3, I should be able to create something worth watching, n'est pa? Speaking of video, in Video Nichevo today we have only one series represented which is Holly Oaks as promised. The nine videos include the return of Craig Dean to the Village of Holly Oaks including today's broadcast episode. Video Nichevo is followed by some Hump Day Hunks to brighten your day and mine. Until next time as always, Enjoy!

I live in Chicago and I'm aware of your preference for president. However, since leaving his teaching position, all he has done is run for office after office. His name is not on any important bills. He talks about change,,,well he has been in Washington for nearly four years and has done nothing for Illinois,,,let alone make any changes. He is not about change.
all what we need for a rainy day ...
