Lighthouse On A Lonely Shore
I did try to watch the RNC last night, but alas it was too much of the same BS from the night before, so I mostly ignored it. A lot of the evacuees are going home today and got up early to check out. More are going home tomorrow. This is just in time as we have a football team coming in Friday Night with an entourage of about 80-90 folks, all just strolling in at one time. I hope they arrive early Friday evening and the hoopla is over with by the time I come on at eleven. I won't mind having a bunch of hot jocks running around, but I would rather they already be checked in before I get to gawk at them. Should make for an interesting weekend, especially if the weather erupts down south again. Never a dull moment around here, let me tell you! Just to tide us over in the activity department we have Be-Bop night at Classics which is a dance club whose membership rotate locations weekly for their confab and we always host them this time of the month. So lots of stuff going on around here to keep me busy (as if I needed any help in that department!) so I don't notice how long it has been since I had a day off or how long it will likely be before I get another. Let's not think about that, OK? I will be brief today as I want to watch at least one of the three movies I got in the mail two days ago and head off to sleepy land earlier than usual. Today's playbill for Video Nichevo begins with Vladimir Ashkenazy playing Chopin leading into a short montage from the film For A Lost Soldier previously posted in these pages. Then comes an important video brought to my attention by by my buddy Will in Omaha concerning ComCast and their plan to limit their "unlimited" internet access services. This is followed by today's episode of Holly Oaks in three parts, then Davey Wavey asks Is Porn Cheating? right before Nuke returns with today's episode.
