Welcome to July! This month we celebrate the signing of the
Declaration of Independence in 1776.
Declaration of Independence in 1776.
This means a short week this week for most folks as Friday is the anniversary date of the signing is after all a national holiday. I have been catching up on my rest while trying not to alter my sleep schedule too much, would not do to get out of rhythm now that I have it established. I spent most of my morning downloading all the latest bells and whistles the Evil Empire has for my current configuration. The minions within the Empire are in their last week of retail and wholsale sales for Windows XP although support is supposed to continue through 2014. Then we will all have to upgrade to (shudder) Vista or get a Mac. I foresee a lot of new sales for Apple products as they gain market share on the Evil Empire now that Darth Gates is departing hands on direction of its day to day operations. I only have to receive and install my new memory sticks, which have left California headed my way by Priority Mail, and I will have the optimal configuration available for my particular model. Through the upgrade experience as harrowing as it has been at times I have learned a great deal, found some wonderful resources, and met quite a few new people both in person and on line with great tips and tricks to improve my little corner of the computing world. Thanks especially to Bodhi over at It's Sydney Bitch for the warm words in his comment on yesterday's post and Martin for his suggestions left in his comment on Saturday's Misadventures with Memory Sticks post. I have added a link to Bodhi's Blog to the Reads and Links in the sidebar as a link back for his putting me in his blog roll.
So what do we have for entertainment today you ask? Well we have a whole video aisle chock full of variety for your viewing pleasure. We start off with a short video from Davey Wavey reporting from the Pride celebrations in Toronto, Canada over the weekend with his buddy Collin. Then we have today's episode of Holly Oaks featuring John Paul and Kieron in two parts. After that we get musical with Jay Brannon debuting his new CD released today as part of Apple iTunes New Music Tuesday with the first track off the CD Can't Have It All. The Cd is available for download from iTunes or in hard copy from JayBrannon.com. Following that is a video profileing the young Gay Christian pop duo Jason and de Marco as a promo for their new DVD due out July 16. Finally we have Barack Obama speaking yesterday at Independence, MO on patriotism. Moving from there right into the eye candy section where you can chose which guy would make your firecracker explode! Until next time as always, Enjoy!
