Super Bowl Sunday

I managed to catch up on a lot of things yesterday including sleep. One of the pleasures of my day was catching up with my friend the Woodsmn up Pennsylvania way. He had sent me a joke in my email and wanted to talk to me on the phone asking if this morning was a good time. I emailed him back right away saying yes, this is a good a time as any with my schedule. I then waited for the phone call. I got an email a few minutes later saying all he got was my voice mail, maybe I needed to turn the phone on. I had forgotten I had turned the phone off so I could sleep in a little bit. So I called him and he was on the phone so I left him a message. He called a few minutes later and we had a good laugh about playing phone tag. I love talking to him as he has this mellifluous voice that would melt butter in a blizzard. He has a birthday coming up so I want to be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday from Nichevo and congratulate him on the new man in his life. I am really happy for him to have discovered someone to share his life with. We talked about our respective adventures in that regard. We both agreed that the harder you look for love the less you find, but it seems like when we stop looking , love finds us. Funny how that works, but work it does. It was really great to catch up with him and I look forward to ou next conversation.

I caught up on a lot of work related stuff for the company and the back log in my in box, it took me a while but catch up I did. I did not want to spend all of Super Bowl Sunday working, although I do have to work the mid shift, so I diligently applied myself to the tasks required so I would be ready for today. The big game is this evening and they will have the usual multi hour pregame show so that by the time the game actually starts you may be tired of hearing about Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Randy Moss, Michael Strahan and the rest of the Giants and Patriots ad nauseam. Unless of course you live in the northeastern US and have a vested interest in one of the clubs involved. My only real interest is to see if the Giants can pull off the upset to keep the Patriots from going 19-0 of if Tom Brady and the Patriots finally put the 72 Dolphins out of the record books and become the "greatest team in history" until next year. Their last game together was a track meet in the last week of the regular season (Patriots 38 - Giants 35) so here is hoping it is a good game.

I now there are thousands of people out there who will not watch the game due to lack of interest. Then there are those who will watch the commercials and find something else to do during the actual playing of the game. So Uncle Gerry has come up with some alternative entertainment for those of you who are uninterested in football. Listed below are the links to some good videos you can download to your hard drive so you can take the situation in hand and amuse yourself. There is also the eye candy section for you to enjoy, but the videos last longer! So that about wraps up this edition of Nichevo, until next time as always, Enjoy!!
