Monday: News and Views

Happy Monday to all!  I know 'Happy' and 'Monday' don't generally go in the same sentence, but it is my day off so wth I am going with it.   I had a pretty good weekend, busy but good.  I really enjoyed the Cowboy game when they finally got untracked after spotting the Rams 21 points in the first half.  The cowboys made a historic comeback to win the game 24-21, overcoming the largest regulation time deficit in franchise history.  In any NFL game, there are moments upon which the momentum of the game turns to favor one team or another.  'Don't forget about these five: Rams leave the door wide open' delineates the 5 plays that in and of themselves were not much, but which opened the door for the victory for the Cowboys.  For a look at the rest of the league check out Outsports analysis of  NFL Week 3.  The most surprising thing after three weeks is who is undefeated and who is winless.  "Cincinnati, Arizona and Philadelphia are the only unbeaten teams left. Raise your hand if you saw that coming. Didn't think so. Jacksonville, Oakland and Tampa Bay are the only winless teams, and that was much more predictable."  San Francisco (the hated 49ers) have not won since beating the Cowboys in Week 1, such a pity (not!).  Next Sunday the Cowboys play the Saints on SNF and the other games includes Philadelphia at SF (Who do you root against if you hate both team?  The one who needs the loss the most, Philadelphia!)

Other items in the news cycle this weekend, John Oliver takes a look at the Miss America pageant helped along by Kathy Griffin on Last Week Tonight.  You will laugh your ass off at that one.  While on a more serious note, Alvin McEwen of Holy Bullies and Headless Monsters shines a light on the new HRC report on the Export of Hate by anti-gay activists who are spreading homophobia around the world.  Interesting and important, the article also includes videos showing just how homophobic the words used by these right wing religionist nutjobs are.  Alvin also ask the question, "Why should we as LGBT's 'tolerate' the hate?".  A very good question indeed.

Your Monday with Mozart feature today offers up the Divertimento for Strings in D Major, KV334 by the master composer with a performance by Academy of St Martin in the Fields' Chamber Ensemble recorded in 1987.  You may also hear Mozart's Divertimento in B-flat major "Lodron", K 287 with a performance by these same artists recorded in 1984 over on my tumblr.

Then Last but not Least, we have some Fine Art in the Male Form with a goodly number of hard bodied hunks 0n display below the play lists adorned in the latest and greatest Monday's Undies for your visual appreciation.  You may also want to check out 'Red in Repose', your Hottie of the Day! over on my tumblr.  Thanks for starting your week here at Nichevo, see you again on the morrow.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
