This is our last day in hell before moving on to the more pleasant environs of our new apartment home. I signed the lease and got the keys yesterday before running a load over in the car to jump start the process. When I got up this morning, Will called out to me that he had found an online review stating that our current location was a great place to live. Talk about a genuine roflmfao moment! Here is the original review:
Great complex in a great location! The owners are really working hard
to make this place shine. Great management staff: Samantha, Monica and
Jamie do a great job making residents feel at home! If you're looking
for a great place to live in this area, check out The Hills!
This is Will's reply:
I don't know who wrote that review but not a word of it is true.
This place is HORRIBLE.
They change out staff every 6 months to confuse you, the owner does. He constantly never keeps anyone around. We've been here 1 year and in that time we've had at least 5 different managers but it's the same leasing company.
Roaches, pests, noise, inconsiderate people, bad management, poor maintenance, health and safety issues.
There's never any hot water because the boiler system has to be "worked on" all the time. It took them forever to fix the bi-polar showers.
When they did foundation work, not only was it very loud and disturbing the whole time, they used jackhammers! They cracked apart our wall on the inside, hasn't been fixed.
We have had nothing but problems with our upstairs neighbors stomping around on the floor, getting our patio wet and dirty from their stupid plants, and they are doing drugs up there, we found traces of them. We have complained to management various ways including letters and nothing has been done. They have illegal residents in that unit as well and are over occupancy. There are at least 4 people and a child in a one bedroom unit. I miss my old neighbor, he was great. Very respectful and quiet upstairs, but he left because of all the issues.
Earlier in the year a man was murdered by the police because he held a knife to his gf's throat and wouldn't drop it. The blood is still on the stairs...despite me telling them to get the over there and clean it up.
The water pipe broke on the 2nd floor and flooded our apartment, luckily nothing was damaged of ours. But they did not properly fix up the affected areas. All they did was suck up the water and pull the padding out of the carpet. They did not open the walls for them to dry or replace the insulation. This will lead to a mold problem, not that there isn't already one here because the exterior was SEVERELY damaged. I'm talking 6+ months of damage from before we signed the lease, they were supposed to have fixed it. They finally repaired the exterior after we called City Code on them about the leak. We had to have it done twice because they didn't get the leak the first time and didn't listen to me that it was on the 2nd story deck. They did ZERO inside work in regard to opening up a water spot for mold checking. They "patched and painted it" which is to say a fancy term for covering it up. We've got pictures though and doctor documentation for visits about mold allergy.
Do not live here, seriously just don't. Pass it right on by. This is a ghetto area, stay away.
THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST APARTMENT I HAVE EVER BEEN IN and that is saying something.

This was my reply to Will (via Messenger):
Great honest review. Whoever wrote that other one must have been paid big bucks. I can think of no other bigger lie than this. Even a crooked politician could not say that with a straight face!
Oh, btw, thank you for writing today's post for me, lol.
