Just over 1 month ago in this post, I told you about the Senior Tennis Player at the University of Notre Dame, Matt Dooley. Matt came out to his family, coaches and team mates to great support all around. Just yesterday, the University released a video posted to You Tube in support of Matt which is posted below this paragraph. There is also a superlative and supportive article about Matt on the UND website that is well worth the read. I must give kudos to Notre Dame, the premiere Catholic University in America, for stepping up and supporting Matt. Would that more Catholic institutions would do the same. Read the article, get to know Matt a little better and be inspired by his journey from suicidal to success as an out Gay student athlete.
This week on Saturday at the Symphony, we continue our exploration of Beethoven's complete Symphony cycle through the classic recordings of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Hans Schmidt Isserstedt. Today's feature on these pages is the 1969 recording of Symphony Number 7, Opus 92. Over on my tumblr is the 1968 recording of Symphony Number 8, Opus 93. We will conclude our exploration next week with Beethoven's monumental 'Chorale' Symphony Number 9, Opus 125 which of course contains the 'Ode to Joy'.
Then for your inspiration and mine, below the video you will find a scorching set of sultry studs who are Naked or Nearly So while over on my tumblr you will find your Hottie of the Day!. Now I am headed off to Nap Land for a few hours rest before I have to return to work at Noon. I hope the rest of your weekend is fabulous. I will see you again on Monday for another week of Music, Men & More! Until next time as always, Enjoy!
