It seems I am not out of the woods yet as far as my computer is concerned. I put it in sleep mode before work yesterday and when I got home last night, it again refused to wake up. Luckily, Will got it to boot up and run without having to reformat and restore all my data again. However, we have decided to leave the computer running until I can buy a new WD HDD when my SSRB hits at midnight on Tuesday. Then, when it arrives, I will clone my present drive onto the new one so I will not have to reload and reconfigure everything again. This should solve the sleep problem I am having with my present computer. This drive will also make a perfect backup drive for when I purchase my new computer. That way I will not have as much trouble recovering my data and programs as I did this time. While it is reassuring to have an in house Geek Extraordinaire, I really would rather not have to go through this again any time soon.
Speaking of my in house Geek Extraordinaire, Will has a job interview for a customer service/tech support position where he can work from home today. It is a full time position with pay comparable to mine. I am rooting for him to get this position as it will not only give him something worthwhile and satisfying to do that will give him his own source of income, but it will ease my budget situation more as he will paying his share of our living expenses. This will make implementation of The Plan easier and faster to accomplish as well as improving Will's ability to fend for himself if something should happen to me. I am not planning on anything happening to me, but for sure I will not be around forever and he still has a lot of life left that cannot rely on my always being here. This makes me happy and hopeful for us both. I will keep you posted as to what happens.
