Well Strung

Rather than go off on a rant about some social injustice, today I thought I would do a little raving about a recent discovery of mine (via towleroad.com).  Well Strung is an all male String Quartet who also sing.  Formed at a New York City ARS Nova Workshop in February 2012, they debuted at a sold out performance at Joe's Pub in New York City on May 1, 2012, the group went on to to play all last summer at the Art House in Provincetown, Ma. Well-Strung stars first violinist Edmund Bagnell, second violinist Christopher Marchant, cellist Daniel Shevlin and violist Trevor Wadleigh who are immensely talented, classically trained musicians.  With a diverse set of credits spanning music, theater and film, Well Strung puts their own particular spin on both Classical and Popular music.  They also definitely put the heat in the term Hot Male! 

This hunky quartet opens in New York on Oct. 27th at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater after a summer in Provincetown and performances in London in September.  Their debut album can be purchased at CD Baby or on iTunes.  Of course, your Musical Moment for today will introduce you to the music of Well Strung, captured live in NYC and Provincetown.  The play list includes Britney Spears' Toxic; Ke$ha's Your Love Is My Drug; Vivaldi's Summer; Adele's Rolling In The Deep and a mash up of Mozart's A Little Night Music and Kelly Clarkson's Since You've Been Gone.  Well Strung is directed by Donna Drake, produced and managed by Mark Cortale with musical arrangements by David Levinson.  Then after the play list another tribute to denim dynamite with these sizzling selections of Men In Jeans for your visual appreciation.  Thanks for sharing your day with me, see you again soon.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
