Best of the Web This Week

Once again, welcome to the weekend and this week's review of the Best of the Web This Week.  Before we get to the review, some good news out of North Carolina.  NC Attorney General Roy Cooper, like his counterpart in Pennsylvania, Attorney General Kathleen Kane, will not defend the recently passed constitutional amendment which limits marriage to one man, one woman when the ACLU co-joins that suit with the one challenging the ban on Gay Adoptions in NC.  Noelle Talley, a spokesman for Cooper, said the Democratic attorney general won't oppose the motion. Both cases, she said, were heading to court and combining them is more efficient.  Proponents of the anti-Gay measures are of course outraged, but they should get used to it.  Bigotry and discrimination are going down for the count and wing nuts who remain wing nuts will either die or be dragged kicking and screaming into the enlightenment of the 21st century.  To bad most of them have to die as enlightenment never comes to a closed mind.

For your review this weekend, I have selected 60 photographic representations of the fine art of the male form from over 1500 candidates.  With the subjects running the gamut from twinkiness to daddy bears with a whole range of body types and ethnicities, there will be something for everyone to appreciate on your slow scroll down the page,  To accompany your cruise and peruse, your weekend Musical Moment features the 24 Caprices for Violin of Nicolo Paganini, some of the most difficult pieces in the repertoire of music for the Violin.  Captured at a live performance by  then 24 year old Russian American Violin Virtuoso Alexander Markov at the Teatro Municipale Valli in Reggio Emilia, Italy.  It is a remarkable performance by an artist known for his performances of these 24 Caprices.  Thanks for sharing part of your weekend  with me, see you again on Monday.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
