I know I have been been expansive in telling you guys about my new position with a different franchise than the one I have been working at lo these many years. Today I thought I would tell you something about the store itself. The store is located in a 3 story building in the middle of the Cultural District of Fort Worth. There are small business on the bottom floor and apartments on the 2 upper floors. The store itself is surrounded by Museums, Art Galleries, a Planetarium, high rise apartments and condos and is across the street and down a couple of blocks from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and Medical School. The clientele is very upscale with a mix of business people, local residents and students from UNT and TCU. The store is neat and clean, very well organized and run in the manner in which I was taught a store should be run IMHO by the best manager Corporate 7-Eleven ever had. I look forward to going to work, I am enjoying getting to know and interact with our upscale clientele and I come home from work happy and satisfied instead of angry and stressed out. This opportunity has really made a dramatic change in my life.
I must extend my sincerest thanks to Captain Rodericks of the FWPD as it was his personal endorsement of my talents and abilities to my new franchisee and his wife that heavily influenced their decision to hire me. I told the good Captain last night that I would be forever grateful for his endorsement. Anwar and his wife Saima also did a thorough interview with me, then hired me at that interview. The phrase "I am so happy, I could just shit Rainbows' seems to be an appropriate exclamation at this point. I was telling Will this morning that I am happier than I have been in a long time, and it really does show. I have been ebullient all week and although I have worked hard, I come home a happy tired and satisfied with a job well done. Add to all this joy the fact that I will begin receiving my SS benefits beginning in August, this week has pretty much resolved any financial worries that I might have. It has been much too long since I have even thought that, much less say it out loud!
Then I have another reason for my excitement this morning as I am so looking forward to my luncheon engagement with Bailey and Sierra Bradford at Salsa Fuego this afternoon. It will be great to put faces with the names after so long a correspondence and the development of our online friendship. It also not often that a famous author comes to town wanting to meet little ole me either. So, yes, I really am so fucking happy I could shit Rainbows. If you seem inundated with ebullience and warm fuzzies, know that I am projecting them to you so that you may share in the utter joy with which I am infused.
As long as we are on the subject of ebullience and warm fuzzies, I want to share a video with you this morning from the audition round of the America's Got Talent TV show. There was a young man by the name of Jonathon Allen on the show. Jonathon is from a smallish town in Tennessee, age 20 and unemployed. He was on AGT in pursuit of his dream. Not that unusual a fact, however Jonathon is a special young man who has overcome an all too common tragedy. On his 18th birthday, his parents disowned him and kicked him out of the house for being Gay. Jonathon is not a muscle hunk or super stud, just your average Gay boy with a huge talent which will be revealed in the video. This is definitely your 'feel good moment of the week'. Take a listen, be sure to have Kleenex or a hanky on standby.
Now that I have made you tear up in joy, let me lend some exuberance to the post with your Friday Musical Reprise which features
