Best of the Web This Week

With all the momentous news coming out of Washington this week, my photo collection efforts fell by the way a little bit.  However I still had a representative sampling of 1400 photographs to sort and sift through to find you some appropriately exquisite examples of the fine art of the male form for you to review today.  Once again they run the gamut from youth to the more mature and almost every body type and ethnicity is represented.  After all, all men are beautiful is some way and this is definitely the week to celebrate the beauty of man and our relationships.  We are not yet completely there, but we are one hell of a lot closer than we were just last week.  Thank you to all who have worked so hard to make this momentous week possible for us all.

I am in a rather mellow mood this morning, so of course I turned to the Cello for your Weekend Musical Moment.  Today's play list contains 7 Cello Concerti by Antonio Vivaldi, included are Concerto for cello, Strings and B.C. in G minor RV 416, Concerto for cello, Strings and B.C. in A minor RV 420, Concerto for 2 cellos, Strings and B.C. in A minor RV 531, Concerto for cello, Strings and B.C. in C minor RV 401, Concerto for cello, Strings and B.C. in G minor RV 417, Concerto for cello, Strings and B.C. in A minor RV 418 and Concerto for cello, Strings and B.C. in G major RV 415.  Today's performance is by The King's Consort featuring Jonahan Cohen [cello & five-string cello], Sarah McMahon [cello - RV 531], Kati Debretzenim Iona Davies, Sarah Sexton, Daniel Edgar [violins 1], William Thorp, Jean Paterson, Jorge Jimenez, rebecca Miles [violins 2], Jane Rogers, Louise Hogan [violas], Timothy Amherst [double-bass], Lynda Sayce [theorbo & guitar] and Matthew Halls, Robert King [chamber organ, harpsichord].  Thanks for spending part of your weekend here at Nichevo, see you again on Monday with more Music, Men and More!  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
