A Faint Flicker of Hope

My Mother is hanging tenaciously to life and the doctors have given us a flicker of hope, faint though it may be, it is still a flicker of hope.  I hope and pray she recovers, but my brothers and I are trying to stoically (more of less) prepare for all possibilities.  We have set up a rotational watch so someone is with Mother most of the hours of the day and night whether she is actually consciously aware of it.  I worked last night and I have the pay day chore and errand list to accomplish before I go to the hospital to sit with Mother.  So I best be off and running.
