For most people, the last day of the year offers one of two things. For some the day offers a time to assess the wins and losses in the last 12 months of one's life and resolve to improve your situation as one enters the New Year. For others the day offers the chance to imbibe to excess so that one awakens on New Year's Day to face a massive hangover and the resolve to 'never again' imbibe past your personal alcohol limit. I, for one, usually choose the first option because it is the more logical of the two options. Some people can drink themselves under the table without any negative consequences. Unfortunately, there are a large number of people who cannot as can be surmised by the number of DUI arrests and even more unfortunate is the fact that so many are injured or killed because someone who thought they could handle their liquor obviously could not. There is nothing wrong with a little party time on New Year's Eve. However, having to face the consequences of property damage, injury or fatality is definitely a downer way to start the New Year with a hangover the least of your worries.
This year has been tough on a lot of us around the world and our personal fiscal challenges have been tough to overcome. Slowly but surely, the economy is improving despite the best efforts of right wing tea bag conservatives to sabotage anyone and everyone who is not among the 'hallowed 1%' who do not give a shit for anything other than more financial gain for themselves and fuck the rest of us. Yet despite all the bullshit that has been thrown at us, we have made remarkable progress dragging the nation kicking and screaming into the 21st century even if it is only one person at a time. Today is definitely a day to celebrate the valiant victories of the last twelve months, resolving to build upon the momentum we have achieved so that the fight for equality continues to move forward. This last Saturday, loving and committed same sex couples seized the first opportunity to legally wed their beloved in the State of Maine, with Maryland and Washington State set to join them in very short order in this bold step into a brighter future. Illinois, whose Governor has stated he would like to see a bill land on his desk early in January, is our next best chance to extend Marriage Equality to all loving and committed couples without regard to the orientation or gender identity of the couples involved. So even with all the bad economic news, we are making progress and will continue to do so when we stand together, overlooking our differences, to do the right thing.
By summer, we could even see recognition at the federal level of Marriage Equality. As bad as it has been, on the horizon is a greater day for all of us. Let's resolve to continue our push towards total equality, leaving no L, G, B, T or Q behind. No longer is it OK to to hide in our closets, we need to burst through the doors of darkness to emerge into the light, even if it is only one step at a time. The longest journey begins with but a single step, let's resolve to make this journey worth while for all of us by taking that single step and keep on taking that single step, over and over and over again.
Your play list for this New Year's Eve does not include 'Auld Lang Syne', however, it does contain Il Trillo del Diavolo (The Ring of Hell) and various other Sonatas for Violin by composers Guiseppe Tartini, Francesco Geminiani, Pietro Locatelli and Francesco Maria Veracini. The performance today is by Marco Serino on Violin and Francesco Cera on Harpsichord. Then for your daily dose of immaculate imagery of the male form, you will find this smoldering sampling of sultry studs lounging about the page in their best Monday's Undies to entice and inspire you. Thank you for spending part of your day here at Nichevo, see you again in the New Year tomorrow. Until next time as always, Enjoy!

A motivating discussion is worth comment. There's no doubt that that you should write more about this subject, it might not be a taboo matter but usually people do not discuss such subjects. To the next! All the best!!
