My 2 Cents on Last Friday's Shooting In Connecticut

Well, I made it through another work week, a little worse for wear, but generally OK.  Yesterday was weird all the way through, but I survived and I'm Still Standing.  Therefore, all must be alright with the world at large, lol.  At any rate I am much more coherent this morning than I was yesterday at this time, so I guess I really can't bitch too much.

I know you guys have probably heard just about too much on the tragedy of last Friday, however, the right wing nuts, the Westboro Baptist Church, James Dobson, Bryan Fischer, Mike Huckabee and Tony Perkins are all on the "we've left God out of the schools" or "with no prayer in schools" band wagon  with the WBC going so far as to say God sent Adam Lanza as judgement on the USA.  I cannot believe how un-"Christian" these supposed "Chritstian" folks are acting in the wake of such a horrible tragedy perpetrated on 20 innocent school kids and six union teachers and the principal who sacrificed their lives in an attempt to save them.  Just where is the love, huh?  I will note that there are thousands of true Christians who have shared the love with the victims families and the nation, and this includes the President who spoke at the memorial service on Sunday night.  One "Christian" organization went so far as to say the multi-faith service was an "affront to God".  Whatever!!  My sympathies are with the families and the fine folks of Newtown, CT in their moment of abject grief over this senseless loss of life.   It is time to look at both the gun laws and mental health care in this country and see if we can improve ourselves in those areas so that maybe we can prevent this from happening again in the near or distant future.  May all these supposed "Christian" folks be damned for the unexplainable wickedness of their reactions.  I am sure God is listening to someone, but it sure ain't those fuckers.

Your musical moment today is the Clarinet Quintet Number 2 in A Major by Franz Schmidt performed by Aládár Janoska (Clarinet), Stanislav Mucha, Alexander Lakatós, Ján Slávik and Daniela Ruso (Piano). The painting in the video is "Ancient Forest" by ~Richard Dorran on deviantart.  Immediately following today's video is another eclectic collection of gentlemen who are all highly Humpable Hunks or even Lickable Lads if you so choose as you peruse them on your way down the page.  Thanks for spending some time with me today here at Nichevo, see you again tomorrow.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
