Midweek Meanderings

I am running a tad bit behind getting this up today because when I sat down to put this post together, my work week caught up with me and a power nap sneaked upon me.  As a result I have not really had a chance to catch up on what's going on the in the world, so once again I am grasping for things to rant or rave about.  That being said, I still have a couple of things that struck me a share worthy in passing.  The Huffington Post has a a collection of the 27 Gayest Christmas Songs to "make your holiday Mary... ahem... merry and bright."  Then via Towleroad .com  comes Jon Stewart who, on last evenings show, interviewed Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson.  In the extended interview, the discussion ranged from "the Supreme Court's consideration of same-sex marriage, the "religious hunger" to find a way forward on the issue, Jesus and gay people, Robinson's coming out, Sodom and Gomorrah, sodomy in Washington, and the history of marriage."  As always, Stewart's interviews both enlighten and entertain while Bishop Robinson is a man with whom I could listen or converse with for hours.   With nothing else of note to share, shall we get on with the music and the men?

For your aural pleasure today, I have selected the Violin Concerto in G minor, Op. 141 by Carl Reinecke with a performance by the Bern Symphony Orchestra conducted by Johannes Moesus featuring soloist Ingolf Turban on Violin.  The painting in the video is "Monk" by Byzwa-Dher on deviantart.  Then I have another eclectic collection of lusciously lickable lads who are your Hump Day Hunks for this week.  Thanks for spending some of your day here at Nichevo, see you again tomorrow.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
