Obama, Marriage Equality, Women Win Big On Election Night!

It was a night of sweeping victories for the President, Marriage Equality and Women on election night.  The President soundly trounced former Governor Mitt Romney in both the popular and Electoral College.  Marriage Equality won in Maine and Maryland, is projected to win in Washington with not all results yet tallied and the odious anti-Gay constitutional amendment in Minnesota was defeated.  Women also scored big wins as Tammy Baldwin becomes the first out US Senator, Claire McCaskill retained her Senate seat in her run against Todd 'legitimate rape' Akin and Elizabeth Warren won the Senate seat in Massachusetts.  All in all a very satisfying night of unprecedented victories for the President, LGBT's and Women, a night we will not soon forget. I am extremely happy with all the hard fought victories of election day and I have the video of the President's Victory Speech to the nation posted right below this paragraph.  Let's listen to the marvelous words of President Obama:

Then to celebrate Marriage Equality and the victories won on that front, I have Brenden James' "Nothin But Love" celebration of Equal Love for everyone:

For your classical music selection, I have something quite special for today that will continue into tomorrow and Saturday.  Marin Morais was composer to the Court at Versailles and wrote over 600 pieces of music.  He was the acknowledged master of the Viola de Gamba and wrote 5 'Books' of music for that instrument that were very popular at court.  Today, tomorrow and Friday we will be hearing excerpt from all 5 books.  Today we hear excerpts from Book One of Pieces de Viole by Marin Morais.  Todays Performers are Jordi Savall on Viola de Gamba, Christophe Coin on Bass Viola, Ton Koopman on Harpsichord and Hopkinson Smith on Theorbo, all playing on period instruments.

Finally today, I have some scrumptious samples of Random Hotness for your visual appreciation.  I thank you for your visit and look forward to seeing you again on the morrow.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
