In The Beginning...

It occurred to me as I was messing about yesterday that the sixth anniversary of my first post here at Nichevo had come and gone without note or comment by me.  To rectify that and to reminisce somewhat, I thought I would reprise my first post and the first set of eye candy photographs for you guys today.  My first post was originally published on Nov 3, 2006 and the first eye candy appeared on Nov 4, 2006.  At the time I still had my original PC (a Pentium 2 with a 20GB HDD, upgraded from the original 2GB and only 512MB of Ram), I was unemployed and living in a small apartment in Irving , TX.  Since that first post, I have grown in my blogging skills, been down many a road, have seriously upgraded my hardware and have collected a shit ton of photographs which I happily share with you.  I have had 563,561 visits to these pages since starting out not knowing if I would have anyone read my humble efforts, much less a half a million people from around the far corners of the world.  Here, then is a reprise of my first post from way back when:

Hello, this is my first attempt at blogging, so bear with me as I learn how to do this as successfully as some of my favorite blogs. First off, a little about me and why I am here. I am a native Texan living in Irving (a suburb of Dallas).

I am an Dallas Cowboy fan, classical music enthusiast, and an unabashed gay man well past the age of majority. There will be adult content here, so if you are under 18 (in some places 21) then do not scroll down, go some place else.

The picture you see to the left is not me, but he is better looking so I thought you might enjoy that more. In this blog there will be political commentary, opinions, experiences, stories, gleanings from the web and links to some of my favorite sites to visit. In many ways this format will act as a catharsis as I expel my inner demons while at the same time trying to inform and entertain you, my valued readers.

What is Nichevo, you ask? It is a Russian word encompassing many things but basically meaning "it cannot be helped" or "I can't do anything about that". I chose this for a title because I cannot help being who or what I am, so therefore I make no apologies, all opinions are my own. I will not intentionally seek to offend anyone, but I might step on a few toes here and there. There will be eye candy and mind candy. I welcome your comments and look forward to developing a rapport with my readers.

As we go along this journey together, let us hope for a better future for all of us. I will be vocal on many subjects and I look forward to your response to my posts.

Then these are the very first photographs I selected to share with your guys:

For your listening pleasure today I have Cello Sonata Number 1 by Eduard Franck performed by Thomas Blees on Cello and Maria Bergmann on Piano.  The video is followed by your Tuesday's Temptations for this week.  Thanks for taking this stroll down memory lane with me today, see you again tomorrow.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!

It's remarkable to pay a quick visit this web site and reading the views of all friends regarding this paragraph, while
I am also zealous of getting experience.
