Black Friday

Today is Black Friday, the traditional busiest shopping day of the year here in the US.  I will make a studious effort to avoid the main shopping venues for the sake of my sanity.  I have no real desire to fight big crowds of people vying for the right to purchase anything and everything for the coming Christmas holiday.  I am in a bit of a black mood anyway due to the results of the NFL contests on Thanksgiving day.  The best game was the Lions versus the Texans which was won by the Texans 34-31 on the second field goal try by the Texans in the overtime period.  The Cowboys disappointed me in losing to the Washington Redskins 38-31 in spite of the furious come back effort by the Cowboys after digging themselves a 28-3 hole by half time.  I must say I was impressed by young Robert Griffin III of the Redskins, or RG3 as he is called, although by the end of the game I was a little sick of hearing his praises sung by the sports casters.  The Patriots were walking all over the Jets when I turned it off before the half because it was 35-0 Patriots.  The Cowboys are still in second place although now Washington is tied with them for the same place.  The Cowboys play the Redskins again in the last game of the season, so the division title could still come down to the victor in that game depending on how both teams fare in the next four contests before they meet again.

Even with my black mood, I still have some great entertainment for you guys today.  Musically I have the Clarinet Quartet in E Flat Major by Johann Nepomuk Hummel.  The performers are unknown as this particular version was recorded from a Euroclassic Notturno (live night radio) broadcast circa 1994.  Then I have a rather interesting collection of highly attractive men who are Naked or Nearly So on display after the video for your visual appreciation.  I hope your holiday weekend continues happily, be sure to stop by tomorrow for this week's photo review of the Best of the Web This Week.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
