Reflections

This Sunday, May 27, 2012, I will be entering my seventh decade here on this earth when I turn 61.  I have seen many things in my life and I hope to see many more.  Along the way there has been glorious highs, devastating lows and a whole lot of just ordinary, everyday events.  One of the profound joys of my life is the writing I have done in these pages.  Over the years I have shared stories of my life, adventures and travels; stories of heroism by ordinary people in extraordinary situations; the all too numerous tragedies of the suicides of our LGBT youth; my political rants and ravings; my love of beautiful classical music; and of course, my appreciation of the fine art of the magnificent male form in its many facets and glories.  It is my hope and intention to continue my humble endeavors in these pages for many more years to come.  The support, encouragement and love I have received from you, my loyal readers, has constantly empowered me with the strength to carry on in my darkest moments and sheer joy in the brightest of times.  For this I truly thank you and promise to continue to give you the best I have, borrow or discover in months and years ahead.

As promised yesterday, the video today is Part 2 of the Complete Piano Sonatas of Ludwig von Beethoven recorded at a series of concerts in 1970 by Dino Ciani in Torino, Italy.  The particular pieces were not listed in the video description, however, who is to quibble about a name when the music is beautiful and by Beethoven, eh?  While you are enraptured by the mesmerizing performance by Signore Ciani, I have selected for your viewing pleasure some subtle and sensuous photographs of handsome men in the flower of their youth who are Naked or Nearly So as is the tradition on Friday here at Nichevo.  Thank you for visiting, be sure to check out tomorrow's photographic review of the Best of the Web This Week.  Have a fabulous weekend.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
