Happy Cinco de Mayo! Today is a special Fiesta Day in Mexico which means it is Fiesta day in Texas also as we have a very large Hispanic population. The party started early last night, stayed late and will continue on through the day and into the night tonight. Since little Mexico is about 20 feet from the store, you know it was a little crazy at work last night. Add to that a grocery delivery of 124 boxes of assorted inventory and supplies plus 16 big totes full of stuff plus the regular daily commissary delivery of fresh sandwiches, pizza, donuts and packaged bakery goods, we definitely had our work cut out for us. Sean and I finished putting everything in its proper place and managed to clean the store to our satisfaction but just barely by 6 o'clock. Thankfully the day shift actually showed up on time, as Sean and I wore both worn out and ready for a break in the action.
The payroll snafu that I told you about yesterday solved itself when my direct deposit magically appeared in my bank account around 8 AM. I managed to get a lot of the chores and errands done yesterday before noon, however I have to finish the grocery shopping with a trip to Kroger this morning and then I will be all caught up once again. Therefore I best get to the music and the men so that I can get the grocery shopping out of the way making it possible to relax at last. I had a good week collecting some great photos, over 700 of them, but I tried to be a little picky about the selections this week. I still ended up with 80 great photos for your perusal which I am sure you will appreciate. To give you musical accompaniment while you are feasting your eyes, I have selected Symphony Number 1 in D Minor, Opus 10 "Wallenstein" written in 1866 by German organist and composer Josef Rheinberger. Today's video performance is by the Brandenburg State Orchestra conducted by Nikos Athinaos. Now I am off to Kroger, thanks for spending part of your Saturday here at Nichevo. Have a fabulous weekend and we will see you on Monday. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
