At Last, A Long Weekend For Me!

I did not have to work last night as Sean had recovered enough to work for me as I did for him the night before.  In essence I have a 3 day weekend to recover from all the hubbub of the holidays.   Just in time as I have all the weekly errands to do today.  I took a couple of long naps yesterday and I am feeling quite refreshed this morning.  I have been watching my reader statistics closely the last couple of weeks as shown daily in the GeoClock in the sidebar.  Visitors to Nichevo are recorded by the clock and are available to me at the GeoVisite web site.   The statistics reveal a recent 70% increase in readership and page views which means you guys are telling your friends about me and my little corner of the blogosphere.  Thank you so much!  I always enjoy making new friends and I am sometimes amazed at the far flung corners of the world in which Nichevo ends up being read.  Some of them are so far flung, they have no official designation in the GeoVisite data base.  Like the small island off the coast of Africa Southwest of Lagos, Nigeria where I have seemed to develop quite the following.  Then there is the place in the Norwegian countryside that is yet to be named in the data base but where I have a reader as well as Aland Island off the coast of Norway.  I have also picked up readers in some countries where I thought it would be unlikely as their present regimes are not considered LGBT friendly in the least.  However I welcome all readers new and old wherever you may be as together we take this journey of discovery that is Nichevo.  Today we continue our journey of musical discovery with another gem from GoldieG89 over at You Tube.  José Manuel Joly Braga Santos was born in Lisbon in 1924 and died in this city in 1988, at the peak of his musical creativity.   Having studied violin and composition at the National Conservatoire of Lisbon, he became a disciple of Luís de Freitas Branco (1890–1955), the leading Portuguese composer of the preceding generation.  He wrote six symphonies and the selection for today is his Symphony Number 4, Opus 16 (1950) in a performance by the Ireland National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Alvaro Cassuto.  This is one of GodieG89's **Must Hear** selections which I think you will find much to your liking.  During the some 53 minutes of this lush musical adventure with marked influences of both Bruckner and Sibelius, scroll on down the page where you will find a great many marvelous Men in Jeans on display for your viewing pleasure.   Thank you for visiting today, do stop in again tomorrow when I will have another of Goldieg89's **Must Hear** selections as well as a bevy of beauties that are Naked or Nearly So to kick start your weekend.  Until next time as always, Enjoy!
