Merry Christmas!



My Christmas Present to Y'all, a brightly wrapped package of Christmas Videos to highlight your holiday. Beginning with The Christmas Concerto, Opus 6 by Arcangelo Corelli performed by the Freiburger Barockorchester, Gottfried Von Der Goltz, director; followed by a suite of videos including Silent Night, O Come All Ye Faithful, Gesu Bambino/Angels From the Realms of Glory, and What Child Is This arranged for Classical Guitar and performed by Vincent Carrola; The Beauty of Christmas performed by The Northern Lights Orchestra including Frosty The Snowman, Let It Snow, The Christmas Song and We Need A Little Christmas; A compilation of Christmas carols and excerpts of well-known classical pieces. A contemplative, instrumental piece including Pathetique Sonata - 2nd Movement (Beethoven), Silent Night (traditional Christmas hymn), Interlude, Piano Concerto No. 21 - 2nd Movement (Mozart), O Come All Ye Faithful (traditional Christmas hymn), Piano Sonata in C Major - 1st Movement (Mozart), Clarinet Concerto - Adagio (Oops, more like Andantino) (Mozart), Angels From the Realms of Glory (traditional Christmas hymn), Interlude, O Come, O Come Emmanuel (traditional Christmas hymn), Interlude, Meditation from Thais (Massenet), Ave Maria (Schubert), God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (traditional Christmas hymn), Interlude, Moonlight Sonata - 1st Movement (Beethoven), Interlude, The First Noel (traditional Christmas hymn), Interlude, Arioso (Bach), Joy to the World (traditional Christmas hymn), Ode to Joy/Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee (Beethoven/Van Dyke), Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (Bach), Interlude, Deck the Halls (traditional Christmas hymn), Unfinished Symphony (Schubert), O Little Town of Bethlehem (traditional Christmas hymn), Angels We Have Heard on High (traditional Christmas hymn), What Child is This? The plot of the opera follows the short story "Christmas Eve" from Nikolai Gogol's "Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka". This is followed by the Gloria by Vivaldi and then we wrap up this celebration with the piece de resistance of any Classical Christmas Musical Collection, The Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah performed by The English Concert & Choir directed from the harpsichord by Trevor Pinnock.  And to make your holiday just a bit brighter, there are a host of Sexy Santa Helpers posted below the play list.  A Very Merry Christmas To You All!
