The weekend had its good and bad points resulting in a very tired Uncle Gerry this morning. Saturday night was busy all night and extended way into Sunday morning when my relief failed to show and the boss could not come in to relieve me until nearly 11 AM. That made for a 12.75 hour work day on Saturday with Sunday night following closely on its heels. Then there was the sports double header of the Cowboy Game and World Series Game 4 in between also which meant I did not get much rest before Sunday night's scheduled shift. It was a grand sports day though with both the Cowboys and the Rangers winning their games. The Cowboys blew out the Rams 34-7 while immediately afterwards the Rangers shut out the Cardinals 4-0 behind the outstanding pitching of southpaw Derek Holland with help from a 3 run homer by catcher Mike Napoli in the bottom of the sixth inning. Sports fans had a field day in Arlington as both Cowboys Stadium and the Rangers Ballpark are across the parking lot from each other making it the sports venue of the day. This morning my relief actually showed up on time so I only worked 8 hours, but the residual tiredness from lack of sleep is still very present. However I will soldier on with some great goodies for you guys today. You can listen to Variations on a Recoco Theme, Opus 33 by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky performed by Yo Yo Ma and an unnamed orchestra while you cruise down the page to leer at all the magnificent men clad in their Monday's Undies lolling about the page. This should kick start the week in fine fashion and there will be lots to talk about this week as the World Series continues with Game 5 tonight in Arlington and games 6 and 7 in St Louis on Wednesday and Thursday. So you guys can chill here for a while today before getting on with your day, then come back tomorrow to see what's up in my corner of the world. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
