Matthew Shepard + 400,000 Visitors

"American Eagle In Action"

Well it looks to be a great day for GLBT rights today as the Senate passed the final version of the Matthew Shepard Act on to the desk of the President for signature. Congratulations to Judy and Dennis Shepard who have worked so very tirelessly for this result for more than 10 years now. The President has vowed to sign it and the fundies are having apoplexy over it so it must be a good thing. Federal recognition and funding of hate crimes towards GLBT citizens is long overdue and this will make it possible to prosecute and maybe even prevent hate crimes in the future. Thank you to everyone who worked for this moment in history.

On a personal note, Nichevo has now had over 400,000 visitors in less than 3 years. This is humbling as I think back to the beginning and my modest hopes for this blog. To say the journey has been incredible is and understatement. Thank you all for sticking around so faithfully to see what this one guy down Texas way has to say and look at for your entertainment. With out you guys it would not be worth the effort. I would like to say thank you once again to all of you who wrote to me asking after my health during my recent absence from these pages. I am indeed physically fine and getting better mentally, adjusting my meds is in progress, so we shall see what we shall see on the other side of this latest adjustment.

For eye candy today we have more guys from my Random Gatherings off the Net. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
