Friday Once More

Here we are at the tail end of another week and I just don't know where all the time has gone to so quickly. The middle portion of the week seems so crowded with appointments and such that finding time to sit down and pound out a few words is increasingly difficult. I had two doctor's appointments this week and one went better than the other. My mental health continues to improve while my physical health is still somewhat in question. They are going to do a whole series of test now to determine if I am diabetic or not among other things, I am not sure what all they are testing for, I just know that a week before my next appointment with Dr Neela, I have to do a whole series of lab tests for which I have to fast 8 hours before hand. She also told me I should quit even the e cigs I have gone to. I don't see that happening any time soon, as a long time smoker, I have come to enjoy the habit and really don't have the overwhelming desire to quit. I would have to have more of a reason to quit than what they have given me so far. I am not in any immediate danger of dying and I am not going to shrivel up into a prune or anything like that, so they may have a hard time convincing me of the necessity of quitting. The e cigs have allowed me to enjoy the pleasures of smoking without the draw backs, so I will hang on to them for now.

My 40th high school reunion is tomorrow and I am looking forward to it with equal parts fear and anticipation. This is totally natural as I have not seen most of them for some forty years, and I was such a different person back then as to what I am today.
