Mellow Monday

"Waterscape Beauty"

The weekend passed peacefully for the most part which was a welcome thing after the frenetic pace of events of the last few weeks. Will and I have gotten everything situated in the new place and it is beginning to feel like home. It has also created that magic demarkation between work and home lives for me. The old place was extememly convenient in that it was across the street from the store. This meant also that coming home was like being at work because all the same customers I see all day were also my neighbors. The new place has added the separation of distance (not too much, just enough) to click the connection in my brain which allows me to relax. This is a good thing. It is nice to come home and find Will here also. Home is no longer a lonely place, this is a very good thing. Will and I have mixed conversations here at home, a combination of IM's, F2F, and Skype when we have group conversations with our mutual online friends. Our computers are in different rooms so we IM things, holler back and forth and move between rooms as we talk. It is really great to hear the laughter that goes along with the lol in the messenger window. I suggested to Will he should write up a post on his firsts impressions of Texas, luckily this was an IM and I have it posted below:

Uncle Gerry: or maybe your first impressions of TX
Will: its fucking hot here
Uncle Gerry: Maybe I should just include that as a note in my post then
Will: its hot and the food is spicy!
Will: >_>
Uncle Gerry: well we do like our spicey shit a whole lot down here
Will: yes you do dammit
Will: and people here are actually nice its annoying
Will: lol
Uncle Gerry: what can I say, we are just full of shit and hospitality
Will: more like spice and bite

So you can see his sense of humor remains intact after I dragged him out of his home state into the "whole other country" that is Texas. So I would have to say life is pretty sweet right now although the money is a little tight. I have spent a ton over the last few weeks helping Will and 'Roomie and HisGurl then the moving trip itself. But it is money well spent to see the smile in Will's eyes once again. He can now continue to heal and make a new life for himself here. I have a little work to do to turn him into a "real Texan" who craves Tex-Mex and chili cook offs, but we have plenty of time for that as we go along. I do love a challenge. For now though I think I will hide the jalapenos so Will won't make them mysteriously disappear!

That is about it for now, except for the eye candy, of course. No post at Nichevo would be complete with out it. We have another edition of Monday's Undies for you to feast your eyes upon today. Until next time as always, enjoy!
