The Journey Continues

"Color of Paradise"

Let's see, where was I, ah yes, we had arrived in Texas a we had gotten all Will's things up the stairs. Prior his arrival we and talked of getting a larger place and when we got his things up stairs, it became readily apparent that my place was not big enough for the both of us. This lead to the discussion of what we would want in a place for the two of us. We set our parameters and then we thought we would take a look around to see what was available for the range we required with the appropriate amenities. I was thinking of maybe moving in a month but we ran across a deal we could not pass up. Now granted, my current apartment is not the Taj Mahal or even the Holiday Inn and as such leaves some things to be desired. It has been a wonderful little place to get established in, however it is not the end all be all of apts, even with the nice view of downtown. So we took a little drive over to a nicer section of town where we found a great apartment which with the move in special was on $50 more than I am paying now and is more than twice as large as where I am living. The catch was we had to jump on it before the 15th. If you had seen the way Will's eyes lit up when he was looking at the new place, well, you would not have said no either. Besides it was a great price for a great place. So we are moving tomorrow into our new place. It was sorta surreal how everything fell into place like it was designed or destined or something like that. Too many things about his whole adventure have provided many a proof that this is where Will belongs and this new place is where we are meant to be for this moment in time. Our bond has become stronger and we are both excited to be moving the ship of our state into a cool new crib in which to pursue the further adventures of Will and Uncle Gerry. For those of you geeks out there, you will appreciate the numerology involved in our new apartment. It is in building 11, apartment 1111, a totally binary address for us to indulge our inner geek in. Although I think Will's geek shows through a lot more than mine, after all he is my go to geek for when I can't figure out something. As you can see, it has been a non stop frenzy of activity in the last 6 days leading up to our move tomorrow. Not only are both our homes changing to a new one together, but our understanding of each other and our interconnectivity has grown several fold as we begin this little adventure. Take a look at our new place in the photo below:

Oh, did I mention that the pool is just outside our back door? That should provide some interesting sights as the summer progresses. This apartment allows both of us our private space as well as ample communal living areas with which to enjoy each other's company. The friendship once begun in Arkansas over a year ago has grown to be so much more than just a couple of guys hanging out on the Internet together. So the adventure continues , and I am sure I will tell you all about it in these pages here at Nichevo. That about brings you up to speed on the last few days, the next few will be busy with the move, settling in and work (of course). Tomorrow's post will probably not get up until the afternoon as I have to work again at 2 (it is Muesday after all) and we are moving in the morning . Of course, geeks we be and the computers with be the first things operational in the new place I am sure. I will get it up as quickly as I can afterwards. For today, I got to thinking about movers which led me to Men In Jeans and the following little collection of hunks. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
