Out With The Old...

"Field, Forest and Fog"

Over the weekend in addition to the temperature bouncing up and down the scale, one of the fronts brought with it electrical storms on Saturday. This was not too big a deal until I got home and found my cable box fried. However the Charter people were great on the phone and scheduled my box to be replaced on Sunday. In the meantime I did not want to miss the Cowboy game (which in retrospect I should have skipped as the Cowboys obviously did not show up in Philly) so I hooked the cable directly to the TV instead of through the box. This eliminated my digital channels but I would still be able to see the game. On Sunday morning the box seemed to have reset itself so I called Charter back. The rep, Derrick, and I decided to have the guy come on out and change the box anyway just to be on the safe side. I also decided to bite the bullet and go ahead with having cable Internet installed and Derrick made me an appointment for Monday afternoon.

The NFL had moved the Cowboy game back to a late start and the repair guy, Cameron came around 2:30 and quickly changed out my box and had me up and running for the game digitally. I mentioned to Cameron that I had them coming out on Monday to install the Internet and he asked "how would you like to have it today?" to which I enthusiastically replied in the affirmative. Cameron was quite the little punk hunk, so a little more time with him crawling around under my desk was not about to bother me in the least. Nor would improving my access speed 10 fold in the process. I still have my faithful air card for back up, but the difference in page load, and especially photo up/download speeds is tremendous and well worth the investment. Not to mention getting to lust after the punk hunk while he hooked up all the bells and whistles. Cameron spotted the Pecan pie on the counter when he came in so ever being the good host I fed him a piece of pie and some DP just to keep him around a little longer. Nothing came of this of course, but hunky cable guys are a pleasant diversion on a Sunday afternoon. Cameron was also a whole lot more entertaining than the Cowboy game which Philly won in a 44-6 embarrassing blowout.

Today is New Year's Eve and as such the evening will be party hearty time for a lot of folks. You guys take along a designated driver or party safely at home because we want to see you back here tomorrow but not as a statistic in the newspaper. To perhaps inspire an evening at home rather than on the streets, stroll through this weeks selection of Hump Day Hunks who are hot enough to melt the frost in any man's heart. Be Safe, Have Fun and come back tomorrow in one piece. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
