Islands in the Sky
Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend? My went great! I got all moved and organized in my new apartment on Saturday. I am really going to have fun adding custom touches to it as I buy pieces to complete the furnishings and decor items. Artwork for the walls will be fun to shop for also. I think the bedroom will definitely have an erotic flavor to the accent pieces while the public area will have a nautical flair to it. I have to watch myself when I am at my desk. These hardwood floors are not like carpet in that I give a little shove to my chair and all of the sudden I am in the bedroom from the front of the house! I am having to adjust the effort I use to move around in the chair so I do not end up across the room by accident. After all was said and done on Saturday night, Will got off work early and we chatted on the phone until 5 AM before finally drifting off to sleep for a few hours before time for football to come on. Gal Pal had left me her car overnight so I could do the grocery thing on Sunday morning before returning the car and watching the Cowboys whup the 'Niners at noon. We ran to the Colonel at half time, so by the time the Cowboys put the game away, I was ready for a nap. Full, fat, happy and sleepy. So Gal Pal took me home and I was getting ready for a nap when the boss calls. He says let's go over to the store and make a list of what we need to have them do before we take over, so we did. Then I came home, soaked in a hot tub of bubble bath then slept until midnight when my eyes popped open. So now I am up and writing this post so that it will be up for you guys while I go in for a few hours today for prep work prior to the actual takeover tomorrow. I will probably pre post for tomorrow. I love the scheduled post feature of Blogger which allows me to write something the night before and have it published automatically in the morning. I have to be at the store for the takeover at 5 AM tomorrow so I will probably write tomorrow's post tonight for future publication as I will be too busy to post myself in the AM. I will let you guys know how the whole thing goes down on Wednesday.
For video today we have President-elect Obama's weekly You Tube address for the serious stuff followed by the humor piece Mandatory Marijuana. Then I ran across this live video of one of my favorite Simon and Garfunkel tunes, Bridge Over Trouble Waters, which came out the spring of my freshmen year in college (I know, before your time!) and that is followed by Scenic Boys take on the Join the Impact campaign in response to the whole Prop 8 travesty in Cali. Rounding out today's post is another fine collection of Monday's Model Men just to keep the juices flowing and bring you back again tomorrow for the further adventures of yours truly here at Nichevo. Now I just wonder if Will will call when he gets off at 1 AM? I hope so, I look forward to his phone calls. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
