Volcano National Park, Hawaii
I have a meeting with the upper echelon this morning at 11. I really do not want to attend, I feel it would be a waste of my time as I already know they are not going to negotiate in good faith. But being the honorable man I am, I will listen to what they have to say albeit with a healthy grain of salt added. I foresee one of two conclusions to said meeting. Scenario 1 (the preferred one) would be we meet, agree to disagree, and I get to exit quietly after my shift on Saturday night. Scenario 2 is less pleasant and would mean I would have to be out of pocket for a couple of days until I can be retrieved by my buddy back in Big D. I am really hoping for the more pleasant option, however I am prepared for the other option also, with assistance only a phone call away. I just want all the stress to go away, let's get this settled and done. In a way I kinda wish he is a horse's ass today and we just cut to the chase. We shall see what we shall see in about an hour and a half from now. I will probably smoke a pack a cigs between now and then, I so want this to be over with, and pleasantly at that.
