Old Friends, New Plans

Oil Creek At Pioneer, Venango County, PA

I had a chance last night to catch up with a long time reader and friend who I had not spoken to in several months. It was good to catch up with the Woodsmn whom I have blogged about before. The Photo at the top of the post today was taken by his friend in rural PA near Erie in Oil Country. Woodsmn lives in the woods so he is in the midst of winter prep for those long months coming up filled with snow up there. Ever since I lived in Colorado, I have come to believe snow is something you visit then hurry back down where it is warm. I get to talk at him more as he is home more in the winter time, so it was great to see him pop up on Skype while I was on with Will and I could not resist putting Will on hold in order to initiate the call to him. I got to talking and Skype sorta dropped my conversation with Will after an extended period on hold (sorry Will). We talked for about an hour before promising to make quicker work of staying in contact this time. It is easier in the winter as he is snowbound for part of it and he spends more time at home and on line. Woodsmn, be sure to say thank you to your friend for the picture at the top.

The wheels have been set in motion for the next phase of my adventure, the return to my hometown coming up in just about 28 days. This should be an interesting month what with training the new relief person whoever they may be, I have already trained my replacement in Scruffy, and trying to work in a couple of site seeing trips along the way. Being the organize person that I am, I am sure I will work something out to accommodate everything. Being organize for the move should not be a problem either. I have not been here long enough to build a back log of BS to sort through before discarding unneeded items and packing up. When the time comes to leave I will probably be over organized or so tired of being organized or something, just ready to hit the road to begin the next adventure.

Will just messaged me with the following video regarding accessing of unused bandwidth for among other things universal Internet service via the airwaves. You can watch the video and then sign the petition here or or click on the Free The Air Waves link in sidebar.

Then just in time for Halloween I found the following photos in my wanderings:

That about all I have to share with you today. have a good weekend, then check back on Monday for a fresh update. Oh, am I forgetting something? Nah, Friday Night Fantasies are coming right up. Until next time as always, Enjoy!
