...loads of right wing propaganda from a variety of sources. It seems the McPain/Bimbette campaign is so seriously in the tank they are pulling out all sorts of BS cockamamie story lines to obfuscate or obliterate whatever truth there once may have been in their rhetoric. As it turns out not much of what the Republican ticket has got to say bears any resemblance to or knowledge of actual truth. They are even bombarding us liberal minded bloggers who have dared be vocal in their support of Barack Obama and Joe Biden with all sorts of prevarications and half-truth innuendos in the slimmest of hopes we will be persuaded to change our simple little minds and cross over to the dark side. Ain't happenin' here folks!!! If anything, I am more solidly in the Democratic Party's corner. After all I have a mind of my own, I really do not need Karl Rove and the theocrats to think for me. I saw a clip of Hilary on the campaign trail and I really liked her replacement phrase for the Palinesque "Drill, baby, drill" which was taken up by those gathered as a chant, "Jobs! Baby! Jobs!". With 21 days left in the campaign, we can expect more of the same drivel from Goddamned Olde Pharts right up to election day. It is my hope enough Democrats get elected nationally so as to enable a more cohesive effort between the Executive and Legislative Branches. This will help to kick start the economy, hopefully running the GOP to ground and eliminating them from serious contention for quite some time. I am also hoping we can get campaign reform done so we can perhaps limit electioneering to the 12 months just prior to any election. Most likely though the GOP will start campaigning as soon as McPain is dead at the polls and the Bimbette can go back to try hiding from her demons in the State House in Juneau. This will also signal a time to really press forward more vigorously than ever before to get legislation passed that will benefit all members of our community whether G, L, B, T or Q so that equality may be finally granted to all citizens of our great, but troubled nation. I am looking forward to Nov 5th when all this is finally over for this cycle. Then we only have to focus on the victors not the vanquished. That is when the next phase of our work starts as we begin to plan for that glorious day in January when the worlds biggest fucking idiot will no longer possess the keys to the nation (and the nuke codes). Unless of course America gets stupid between now and then, or we fuck up and don't press the advantage while we have it, handing Macpain the election whereby he gets so excited he dies of a heart attack. Then we are stuck with Madam President Bimbette, gosh darn it, center stage for everyone to laugh and point at. Continue your support for the Obama/Biden campaign and help ensure a Democratic victory come Nov 4, we can't let the other guys win this one. Else we might all have to move to Canada to escape the wrath of the religious right wing nut extremists who would lock us up and throw away the key. Oh, and all you wing nuts can excise my email from your lists as it is a waste of your electrons to send it for me to trash without reading and a real pain for me to put up with. Just so we are clear on this, my vote is going to be cast for Barack Obama, Joe Biden and every other progressive or liberal candidate I find on the ballot. Nothing will persuade me at this point to vote otherwise with the possible exception of my death or an alien invasion whichever comes first. So save your breath, your electrons, & my time by running to hide under the rock you came out from under in the first place and leave my in box in peace!
