Safe Harbor At Sunset
...when I have seen a more pathetic performance on a football field than the one I forced myself to watch on Sunday afternoon. All you Cowboy haters out there are probably Ram fans for at least this week. I really can't believe I watched the whole game without loosing my lunch. The final score was 34-14 but that is misleading, it was much worse than that. In fact it was so bad that before the body was even cold on the game the Dallas Morning News had an article on line headlined "This loss should be his last" and calling for Wade Phillips' head on a blue and silver platter. Even Jerry Jones looked like he ate a really sour pickle right before he got fucked by the offensive line and hung up wet without a kiss. What began with such hope is now lying in the ashes, though all hope is not lost. If they do not get their act together soon, I may have to forgo the current NFL season in favor of NCAA Division One where UT is currently King of the BCS Mountain after dismantling Mizzou on Saturday night 56-31. I have no doubt there is some serious but chewing going on and there is plenty of blame to go around to everyone from the coach to the kicker and everyone in between. We will have to see if they survive the Dallas media maudlin post mortem blitzkrieg and accusations of ineptitude well enough to rebound against Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday next. I will keep my fingers crossed.
I actually have the day off today and another on Saturday, although I do not know how I managed two in one week, but I am not complaining. Today is also payday but we have to wait on checks until the front desk meeting at 3 PM. I have a feeling some of my documentation is going to be used to chew a few butts around here today too. Not mine and not in a good way at all. However to brighten your Monday and mine, I found some great photos for this weeks edition of Monday's Model Men.
