Happy Hump Day

Grand Canyon

Here it is Wednesday already. Either I am getting slower or time is getting faster. I just know yesterday was Monday not Tuesday, wasn't it? No matter, when you are working seven days a week, one day looks pretty much like another. However, the body does have its own limits which it will not let you cross. I am not there yet. I did take the day off from blogging yesterday just because I could. I treated myself to lunch at Bennigan's next door then came back and crashed out until it was time to go to work. Or at least that was the plan. You know what they say about all good plans often going awry, there is a lot of truism in that saying. I did sleep until about 6 when the siren call of the bathroom could be ignored no longer. Two phone call and one hour later found me semi awake yet unable to return to the land of the slumbering giants. I ordered a pizza and started putting together this post (videos and eye candy) so all I would have to do this morning was figure out what to write about. This has been increasingly difficult as the tiredness factor increases with my prolonged schedule. It has also affected my sleep pattern a lot, so much so my body sometimes does not know when to sleep and refuses to go there. Which is really a pain in the ass if you know what I mean. But the money is good and the ability to move ahead financially is a strong motivator to keep it up for the next little while until I can teach Scruffy the Audit. He has been a system administrator so this should be a piece of cake for him. We communicate really well, the powers that be are well pleased they took my advice and hired him. Yea, brownie points!!! Work is going really well for being as short staffed behind the desk as we have been. The GM has hired another desk clerk to free up Scruffy to train on my shift after she gets her feet wet behind our desk (she has other hotel experience). Then I get a day off!!! ( I would do cartwheels but I would probably hurt myself at this point, lol!) There is an event coming up the weekend of the 19th I want to take in and bring back to you guys here. The Argenta Art Walk - Art In Unusual Places the third Friday of each month from 5-8 PM in the Argenta Historic District along the trolley loop in downtown NLR. The Art Walk will provide a cultural opportunity as well as social, who knows who I will run into while cruising... er touring the art exhibits and Victorian structures. Should be a great photo op also, a chance to hone my skills as a digital photographer. Maybe I will find some random hotness to spring on you here as well as the more traditional art forms. I have a staff meeting at 11 this morning then I am going down to the beadier place to get some repair work done on a couple of bracelets. The beadier has brown bag beading a couple of times a week where you bring a lunch, gab and work on your beadworks over the noon hour. may have to check that one out also. I love their building , it sits caddy corner across from the trolley barn on the Argenta Art Walk Route. It is just your basic stucco store front a la 1950's small town America, yet it is painted a lovely shade of lavender , so it really stands out. I have yet to go inside, but that is changing today as I head off on my little adventure/excursion. This trip will also include a stop at Popeye's on the east side of downtown the other side of AllTel Arena, the only one on this side of the river. It is a little bit of a hassle to get to as I have to change buses to get there. I have been craving their spicy chicken for a while now so I am making the effort to get down there . I will get a big box and bring it home, no sense in just getting a little when it is so difficult to get there. I can freeze some for later on and have some left over for lunches at work. Sounds like a plan to me. So I had better get my show on the road. I have a mixed bag playbill for you in Video Nichevo with a little farce PacMan The Movie followed by a clip from Beautiful Thing. Moving from there into a couple of videos I know you will like featuring working out tips from AAG's Anthony C. and a teaser for the first season of the DL Chronicles. Then sxephil goes on a rant about the LHC over across the pond. Finally we have a musical montage from ATWT and the boys of NUKE. Then we have this weeks edition of Hump Day Hunks to scald your corneas and grabbing for the lube. (BTW, is there any significance to the fact I posted a photo of the Grand Canyon on Happy Hump Day?) Until next time as always, Enjoy!
